 Killarney
is Ireland's most vibrant town. This coupled with some of the most beautiful
scenery in Europe, has made it a major destination for tourists around the
globe. Kerry's pure air and mild climate provides the perfect year round environment
for Golf, Walking, Cycling, Jogging, Angling, Riding, Water sports and many
other outdoor pursuits. There are 20 or more Golf courses in Kerry and Ardree
House is perfectly sited for golfers wishing to play the championship courses
at Killarney,
Ballybunion and Waterville. The
beauty of Killarney's National Park is accessible by many paths, cycle routes
and jogging trails. The Old
Weir Bridge,
right, is is crossed by many walkers who enjoy the unspoilt countryside and
mountain scenery. Many are fortunate enough to see one or both of the two species
of deer that roam the Park. Much of the flora and fauna is unique to the area
but the mild climate also supports many imported species of plantlife.

One American visitor to Killarney professed to have used 50 films during his
two weeks visit - such is the splendour of Killarney. Ardree House provides
those traveling by car a base to explore other areas of natural beauty including
the Rings of Kerry & Beara and the magnificent Dingle Peninsula (Slea Head
is the most westerly point in Europe). |
